*UPDF Vs Mbarara City (postponed)

Arua Hill and Onduparaka played out a goalless draw in the first ever Arua Derby of the Uganda Premier League at Barifa Stadium.

The match was however highlighted by early fans trouble that put the game into disrepute.

The game was halted just after the sixth minute when the inside perimeter gave way after pressure from a sizeable crowd.

Calm was partly restored few minutes later when the rowdy home fans decided to sit just on the pitch-line but in dramatic turn of events, Onduparaka officials called on his players to walk off the pitch.

The visiting team deemed the environment not secure and tasked Arua Hill to increase security.

A procession of policemen made their way and barricaded at the broken fence and when parity was restored, the match restarted.

The game’s best chance fell to Arua Hill forward Sam Kayongo Ssekamatte who ran free on goal but his looped effort over the keeper took an awkward bounce to go wide of the goal.

Alfred Leku almost opened the scores for the hosts but he was denied by Michael Kagiri. The rebound was swept away by Isaac Okello to deny Robert Eseru who was waiting to pounce home.

Joseph Vuni headed wide Gadafi Wahab freekick in the other Arua Hill chance.

The Caterpillars also had a fair share of chances and could have gone up only for Ibrahim Magandaazi to head off the line after keeper had failed to keep out Rashid Agau’s lofty cross.
