FUFA Slaps Gadaffi FC With Fine and Ban

The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary panel has sactioned Uganda Premier League New Entrants Gadaffi for violating COVID-19 regulations.

According to FUFA, the Soldier Boys admitted more than 200 fans in the Jinja Derby loss to Busoga United at the Gadaffi Arena in Jinja City.

Gadaffi FC playing their first ever game in the top flight, lost 2-0 to Jinja rivals Busoga United.

They have been fined Sh1M and one match ban to be played behind closed door.

FUFA allowed Clubs to admit not more than 200 fans during match-days as they move to respect Covid19 regulations.

After Tuesday’s game with Tooro United at Buhinga Playground in Fort Portal, Gadaffi is set to host Soltilo Bright Stars on Friday 29th October at the Gadaffi Arena in Jinja City.

The Soldier Boys haven’t started the season well after losing the two opening matches against Busoga United 2-0 in the Derby better falling to KCCA 2-1 in Lugogo with Brian Kalumba scoring their first ever goal in the Uganda Premier League.

Gadaffi FC defeated Proline in the Big League playoff final to earn promotion to the top tier league.
