George Kaddu Fined, Banned For Two Months

FUFA Competitions Disciplinary panel has banned and fined Wakiso Giants defender George Kaddu together with Club photographer Philip Mugabi.

The pair were summoned to the Disciplinary panel on Saturday 23rd October for a possible breach of FUFA Competitions rules during the club’s UPL match with Vipers SC which ended 5-0 in favour of the hosts.

They had until Monday 25th October to submit written statements to FUFA.

Kaddu was shown red card after he slashed Vipers Winger Milton Karisa for his second yellow card and when the referee was in the process of booking him, he slapped the cards off the referee’s hand.

According to the circular, the committee relied on the referee’s report for the SUPL match between Vipers SC vs Wakiso Giants and the video recording for the misconduct of the player.

Per the statement, the Panel found out that the player attacked the referee which amounted to violent conduct, the player slapped the referee’s cards which amounted misconduct, the player delayed to leave the field of play upon send off by the referee which amounted to misconduct, that all the above misconduct by the player put the game of football into disrepute.

The panel has sanctioned Kaddu with a two months suspension from participating in all football matches within the specified period effective immediately from 26th October 2021 to 26th December 2021.

He is also fined Uganda Shillings One Million to be paid into the FUFA account and avail the proof of the payment to the committee.

Mugabi Philip fined Uganda Shilings 500,000 to be paid within 15 days from the receipt of the decision by 10th November and avail proof of payment to the committee.
