FUFA Sets Date For Regional League Kickoff

The Federation of Uganda Football Association has set 3rd to 11th December as a tentative dates for Regional League kickoff.

The FUFA Regional Leagues were not played last season due to COVID-19 Pandemic and its close two years since the teams last had action.

Champions from each region will qualify to the FUFA Big League automatically after the format of promotion was changed by the FUFA EXCOM.

FUFA held a meeting at FUFA House with Regional secretaries and Chairpersons on 25th October to discuss about the preparations of FUFA Regional League Kickoff 2021-2022 season Kickoff.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss how best the Regional League will organise amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.

According to the circular signed by Competitions Director Aisha Nalule, the 3rd Division fixtures should be submitted on 15th November while Licence production will start from 16th to 22nd November and end on 26th November.

No player licence will be issued without the COVID-19 vaccination card.

Each team will be allowed a minimum of 25 players incase the club doesn’t have all the 25 licences, provisional licences will be issued on top, however, they should meet the maximum requirements of player licensing.
