Aprem Bags Brace As BUL Stun Onduparaka in Arua

Martin Aprem scored a brace to silence Onduparaka at the Greenlight Stadium in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

Aprem scored in either half to give the Eastern Giants all the points to recover from Express defeat.

He scored the first in the 17th minute after a swift counter attack and later doubled the lead at the hour mark to leave Onduparaka defence reeling.

Onduparaka missed a couple of chances including a Kateregga Abassi effort that was cleared off the line.

Rashid Agau twice hit the woodwork while Okocha Rashid beat a number of BUL players into the box before shooting wide.

BUL could have scored more but hosts’ goalkeer Micheal Kagiri made a fingertip save to deny Musa Esenu.

The defeat leaves Onduparaka with 5 points in 4 matches while BUL climbs to to 4th with 6 points in 3 matches.

What next for both Sides – The two sides will return to action on Tuesday 2nd November. Onduparaka will travel away to Vipers at the St Mary’s stadium Kitende while BUL will host Mbarara City at the Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe.
