Byekwaso Wants More From his Strikers

KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso says that he wants to see his forwards scoring more goals in games to come this season.

He made the remarks after his side’s 2-0 victory against Tooro United in a league game played at the Mtn Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Saturday.

A goal each from striker Davis Kasirye and Julius Poloto ensured that Byekwaso’s charges extended their good run into this new season.

“Im so happy, the Boys did their best to see us win this game,” Byekwaso said after the game.

He added “I have to appreciate that Tooro is also a good side , we attacked they attacked, they have a very good goalkeeper but eventually towards the end we scored the our second goal which we needed the most because the game was still under pressure”

By him scoring, Kasirye took his tally to three goals in just four games since joining the Lugogo based side in the recent Transfer window.

Poloto who came on for Sadat Anaku in the second half scored late on the day to double his side’s lead. Last season’s club top scorer Charles Lwanga also had some minutes late in the game, coming on for Davis Kasirye.

And for Byekwaso, he says that idea of making such changes is to see the forwards get more game time to keep scoring goals.

“I always want to bring in more strikers like two or three whenever we are making any change. By doing this, we want them to keep scoring more goals. We are also happy to see that Lwanga is back because the league is still young, they will keep on improving game by game,” Byekwaso added.

Victory ensured that KCCA maintained their 100 percent perfect Start into the season as they remained top of the log with 12 points.

With more games coming in, Byekwaso will be hoping that his side can keep up the momentum if they are to win something this season.
