Ibrahim Nsimbe opened his account as BUL FC edged Mbarara City in a league game played at the Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe on Tuesday.

Off the bench, Nsimbe scored with just four minutes after coming on for Dickson Niwamanya in the second half to get off the mark.

Last season, while at now relegated side MYDA, Nsimbe registered 10 goals in the season before crossing to the Jinja based side in the recent transfer window.

The forward had a chance to bury it late but his header flew wide of the mark.

The first half saw a limited chances from both sides and there was nothing to write home about.

In a bid to get their opener, head coach Alex Isabirye made some changes with Nsimbe coming on for Dickson Niwamanya in the 62nd minute, a change that later on paid off.

He tapped home off a pass from Umar Mukobe to give his side the advantage.

The hosts had chances to score more but substitute Ibrahim Mugulusi saw his effort go wide.

The Visitors, who had previously put new entrants Arua Hill to the sword in their last game, failed to score any on the day.
