Preview: Military Bragging Rights at stake in Battle of Forces

Both UPDF and Gadaffi will look to come on top in the first ever Military Derby in the top flight.

The visitors are funded by top army officials.

The hosts will make the home advantage count as they have been a hard rock to crack at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground but they will need to have enough magazine to stop a rejuvenated Soldier Boys team.

All eyes will be on Brian Kalumba and Alex Kitata as they point the guns against their former pay masters UPDF.

Having started on low, Gadaffi FC has picked form in the last two games, drawing against Tooro United and winning it late against Bright Stars.

UPDF comes at the back of a 3-1 defeat to URA at the Arena of Visions after a first half goal from Simon Mbazira to give the Army side the lead.

The Soldier Boys won their first game in the top flight thanks to James Otim’s late strike against Bright Stars.

The Brian Senyondo Coached side has 1 win, a draw and a loss in 3 matches while Gadaffi has 1 win, a draw and 2 loses in four matches.

UPDF (8th) and Gaddafi (11th) are level on four points but the hosts have a slightly better goal difference.
