Kabaka Birthday Run Kits Hit Market

Theme: ‘Men Against AIDS to save the Girl Child’

The kits for the Airtel Kabaka Birthday run have hit the market after the official launch on Thursday afternoon at Bulange Mengo.

The event will be in celebration of the 66th birthday Buganda King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi.

Headline sponsor Airtel have continued their partnership for another eighth year.

For the second year running, the theme for the run is in line with the struggle to end AIDS. The theme is “Men Against AIDS to save Girl Child”

The Katitkiro Charles Peter Mayiga urged the public to take part and also remain aware of AIDS.

He also commended Airtel Uganda and other sponsors for partnering with the kingdom to fulfil its programs.

The Run will take place virtually and Mayinga encouraged everyone to participate from their localities in a bid to maintain SOPs.

This will be the eighth year that Airtel is part of Kabaka’s Birthday Run.

Remmie Kisakye, Brand and Communications Airtel Uganda, briefly noted: “We just want to thank everyone who has been with us for all these years. We have managed to make an impact, the first three years our campaign was about Fistula, the next three were about Sickle Cells and now its about AIDS.”

“We have commited to help every Ugandan to stay healthy. And we also have to remind you that Covid19 is real.”

“Please go and buy these kits at the Airtel shops or select *185#, select payments, select Kabala Run, enter the amount and PIN and pick your kit at the said point.”
