UPL Awards: Byekwaso, Robertinho Nominated for Coach of October

KCCA FC’s Morley Byekwaso and Vipers’ Roberto Oliveira have been norminated for the UPL Pilsner Coach of the month of October.

The two managers have had a good run at their respective clubs as they are yet to lose any game so far.

Byekwaso’s KCCA FC have won all their four league games in October, beating Wakiso Giants (3-0), Gaddafi FC (2-1), Busoga United (0-1) and Tooro United (2-0).

Their only draw, (1-1 Vs Bright Stars), came in November.

For Vipers, they have collected seven of nine points in October – They beat Police (2-0) and Wakiso Giants (5-0) before picking a draw away to Express FC (2-2) at Wankulukuku.

Trio Nominated for Player of the Month

On the other hand, Vipers forward Caesar Manzoki has been norminated for the player of the month gong, alongside KCCA FC’s lanky forward Davis Kasirye and goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

Manzoki, who is having his second season at the Kitende based side, scored three goals each against Police FC, Wakiso Giants and Express FC in the month of October.

Kasirye on the other side registered three goals each against Wakiso Giants, Gaddafi FC and Tooro United. For Ochan, he kept three clean sheets in four games, helping his side stay on top.

These are the first UPL Pilsner awards in this new UPL Season given the fact that the league kicked off last month on 15th October.

The Pilsner awards are given out at the end of every month to the best player and coach in the concluded month.
