Four UPL Players Named in South Sudan 29-man Squad

South Sudan National men’s team head coach Stefano Cusin has named a provisional 29-man Squad ahead of their International Friendly games.

In the named squad, four Uganda Premier League players have been called up to join the team that is gearing up for international friendly games against Gambia and Algeria A on 13th and 15th November respectively.

The said players are Arua Hill SC’s defender Rashid Toha, Wani Ivan Adebo (Bul FC), Loki Emmanuel Peter (Bright Stars) and Makueth Wol Akeen from Mbarara City.

The other Ugandan player on the team is Data Elly Christopher who plays from Big league side Kyetume.

All these players have always earned regular national team call ups and featured last month in the team’s international Friendlies.

Vipers SC right back Joseph Steven Data misses out after sustaining an injury in international friendly against Sierra Leone last month.

In the latest FIFA rankings released last month in October, South Sudan is ranked number 167th with 980 points.
