KCCA FC Acquires SEE TV as New Shirt Sponsor

See TV, a new Uganda television channel, is the new shirt sponsor for Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC.

The Naguru-based TV replaces StarTimes whose deal with KCCA FC since 2015 came to an end in June this year.

The development means that starting with their sixth league game this season, KCCAFC will don in kits bearing the SEE TV logo for the next three years.

Robert Ssemakula, Chief of Growth at See tv, briefly said: “We see great hope in this partnership, we are here to stay, and this is the first of many to come.”

“As a brand, we are committed to supporting local sports. This relationship with KCCA FC is our first step in the right direction. It is a commitment to connecting fans to the game and the team they love.

“This partnership with KCCA FC is an exciting opportunity for us and we look forward to the great possibilities that lie ahead.”

Ssemakula added that “we are not at liberty to reveal the financial details of the contract.”

The KCCA FC tv that has been airing on Sanyuka tv every Sunday, will now be broadcast on See tv.

KCCA Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago said that this is a historical day for the club: “We are here to witness a huge milestone in a journey of our mighty club. Its a historical moment. We are really very excited to have this partnership. Its in line with our strategic plan to build this synergy to drive brands to bigger steps.

“You choosing us we do not take it for granted. As see tv comes on board, we give you assurance that we shall push your brand and be your ambassadors.”

See tv’s name is an acronym of Sports Explore Edutainment.

They acquired their licence from Uganda Communications Commission in 2019.

SEE TV, a Ugandan reality Television channel creating relatable content for Ugandans, is a member of Prime Media who is also a partner with KCCA FC.

The TV will bring to air on and off-field KCCA FC stories.

National Council of Sports Chairman Donald Rukare commended KCCA FC for acquiring a new partner at a critical time.

He added: “In many ways KCCA has epitomized elements that are the reason for their sounding success. Your leadership is very capable.”

“KCCAFC has sound management which is reflected in the performance of players. The players are exquisite with a very large fan base. This partnership in sports is a match made in heaven.”

KCCA FC Confirms new Kit Manufacturer

Earlier, KCCA FC confirmed Mafro as the official kit supplier in a partnership that is to run for three years until 2024.

“We welcome Mafro Sports as our new official kit supplier and expect them to be an incredible partner of the club. We look forward to working with them to serve players and supporters with Mafro & KCCA FC innovation and designs,” said Anisha Muhoozi the club CEO.

Mafro was the Uganda national team suppliers from 2018 to 2020.

KCCA has started the league brightly sitting top of the log with 13 points in 5 wins collecting 4 wins and a draw against Bright Stars.

The Kasasiro Boys will return to action on Friday 19th November playing host to UPDF at Lugogo.
