Six Dropped As Micho Reveals Provisional Uganda Cranes Squad

Six players have been excluded from the Uganda Cranes squad that is preparing for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Uganda kicked off their preps on Saturday at Lugogo ahead of Group E clash with Kenya on November 11 before the away tie against Mali three days later.

Paul Willa (Vipers), Bright Anukani (Vipers), Davis Kasirye (KCCA), Sadat Anaku (KCCA), Ashraf Mandela (URA) and Rogers Mato (KCCA) have been asked to go home.

Micho’s provisional squad of 28 includes 10 foreign-based players, a list first published by this website.

Uganda had a practice match with Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC on Sunday at Kitende.

The team will hold a training session on Monday at 5pm at Lugogo, 4pm on Tuesday at Kitende and 2pm on Wednesday at Kitende.
