Big League: Geoffrey Sserunkuma Scores Two Penalties In MYDA Victory

Veteran Striker Geofrey Sserunkuma scored a brace from the spot for MYDA including a late 93rd minute winner.

MYDA FC came from behind to beat Ndejje University in a Big League game at King George Stadium in Tororo.

Orono Ivan was also on target for the hosts to add on a double from the former KCCA FC striker.

Sserunkuma is one of the new signings for MYDA FC who also added Vincent Kayizi as the side seek to bounce back to Uganda Premier League.

Wasswa Jimmy and Josephat Ayebare scored for Ndejje University.

Wasswa put Ndejje ahead in the the 13th minutes but Sserunkuma levelled from the spot after the half-hour mark.

MYDA took the lead when Orono Ivan bundled home but the visitors equalised through Ayebare just at the stroke of halftime.

With the game heading to stalemate, MYDA won another penalty after Serunkuma was fouled in the area, and he took responsibility to notch in a winner.

What next for both sides – They will both return to action on Thursday 18th November in the FUFA Big League, MYDA will travel away to Blacks Power at the Akibua Memorial stadium while Ndejje University will welcome Calvary FC at the Arena of Visions.
