Big League: Maroons, Calvary Share Spoils In Luzira

Friday, November 12
*Maroons 0-0 Calvary
*Nyamityobora 0-0 Proline
*MYDA 3-2 Ndejje University
*Kitara 3-2 Blacks Power

Hosts Maroons shared spoils with Yumbe-based Calvary FC in the FUFA Big League opener at the Luzira Prisons ground.

Both sides failed to open their account in the second tier with maximum points.

The hosts could have broken the deadlock in opening exchanges but Bronson Nsubuga hit the post while Ssali Musa failed to capitalise on the rebound.

Fred Amaku could have put the home side in the lead but he misses by an inch over the bar.

And the visitors later looked more composed and hard to crack at the back, and held on to settle for a point.

What next for both sides – Maroons will return to action on Thursday 18th November away to Proline FC at the Philip Omondi Stadium Lugogo. Calvary FC on the same day will face Ndejje University at the Arena of Visions.
