Preview: Alex Gitta on the Wheel

Wakiso Giants will seek to extend their impressive run under coach Alex Gitta when they host Tooro United in a league game at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakissha.

The Purple Sharks have won three straight since Douglas Bamweyana’s exit after the club had lost their two opening games minus finding the back of the net.

The run started when they edged Police at Lugogo before showing resilience to overcome Busoga United. They decorated the run when they tore SC Villa at Kavumba in a game Titus Ssematimba bagged a brace.

It has been a turnaround at Wakiso after Bamweyana threw in a towel. The Purple Sharks are playing with more urgency and intent than ever before.

Gitta’s only worry will come in the fact that his forwards have failed to establish authority in games this season but with all that said, the tactician will fancy his side to walk away with maximum points against a side that has lost twice in a row.
