Gaddafi FC overcame a numerical disadvantage to beat Arua Hill and hand new coach Peter Onen a perfect start.

Rashid Toha’s unfortunate own goal proved the difference as two new UPL entrants battled at the Gaddafi Arena.

It is a dream start for Onen who replaced Mubarak Wamboya at the helm.

Gaddafi FC finished the game a man down after Onen Franco was sent off for a reckless tackle on Allan Mugalu in the 41st minute.

Brian Kalumba’s header was punched away by Richard Anyama that eventually hit Rashid Toha for an own goal in the 25th minutes.

Gadaffi FC could have doubled their lead twice from a counter attack but Umar Kyeyune curler missed the target while Faisal Muwawu’s effort went wide.

Arua Hill had two penalty appeals called off after Robert Eseru and Allan Mugalu were brought down in the area either side of halftime.

The Visitors threw more bodies forward and they were nearly rewarded at the end of the game after Gadaffi Gadinho hit the woodwork from a freekick.

Gadaffi FC moves to 6th in the standings with 8 points while Arua Hill drop to 8th with 7 points after suffering their second loss.
