Preview: KCCA Hoping to Maintain Winning Run

Former teammates Morley Byekwaso and Alex Isabirye face off in the top of the table clash.

KCCA will hope to make use of the home advantage as they host on form BUL FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium.

KCCA head coach Morley Byekwaso says this time is different compared to the previous games as he will meet a coach whom he has played with.

“This game will be very different from the previous games,” Morley Byekwaso commented.

“I will be meeting the coach whom I played with, he has his philosophy and he knows football. I really respect him because he knows what he’s doing and you can see that they are in the second position (now third after Wakiso Giants win) that shows how great he has done the job.”

“It will be a test of character because BUL already tested the big teams, we think it will be a very hard game but God willingly we shall overcome it.”

BUL head coach Alex Isabirye speaking ahead of the game says that this will be a good test to play against an organised team with youthful coaches and he predicts a tough game that everyone will enjoy.

“We are playing on of the most organised teams in the country they have a set of young exciting coaching staff,” BUL Coach Isabirye states.

“I know they still have time to think for the game but have been telling you this season we are trying to compete so if you want your players to compete you want them to play such good teams.

“I know the game won’t be easy but people will enjoy and the best organised team will take the day.”

KCCA sits top of league with 19 points after winning all but drawing just one of their 7 matches.

BUL are 3rd with 14 points with 4 wins, two draws and a loss in 7 matches.

KCCA come at the back of a 1-0 win over Arua Hill in Arua while BUL were held to a one-all draw with Gadaffi FC in the Derby.

The last time they met KCCA were on top in Lugogo with a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Filbert Obenchan, Charles Lwanga and Keziron Kizito.

BUL defeated KCCA at home 2-1 with Musa Esenu and Robert Mukongotya were on target for BUL while Charles Lwanga scored the visitor’s only goal last season.
