Fighter Titus Tugume has expressed readiness for his first Mixed Martial Arts duel with Daniel ‘Chitown’ Gilliham from the United States.

Tugume, ring-name ‘The Rock’ will make his debut in MMA style after spells in Kickboxing.

MMA style, usually fought inside the cage, is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling and groud fighting.

The style incorporates techniques from various combat sports including boxing, kickboxing and martial arts.

Tugume is unfazed as he takes a new venture but acknowledged the new challenge ahead.

“It is going to be challenging for me,” Tugume stated.

“I have been in different fights in different world bodies and I played that style in a certain country so far so good I know I can be better.

“I can’t say I’m the best in this but since I am going to train and I have been getting skills in this game I am going to win this fight.”

Tugume vowed to beat the American here in Uganda, with the fight slated to be held on February 25 2022 at Fusion Auto Spa in Munyonyo.
