Bulange Group Match Day one
Busiro 2-1 Bugerere
Kyaggwe 1-0 Buvuma
Both Busiro and Kyaggwe earned a perfect start into this year’s Masaza Cup tournament following their victories as Bulange Group matches got underway on Thursday.
The first game saw 10-man Busiro overcome Bugerere by 2-1 to start this year’s tournament on a high.
First half goals from Herbert Kibirango and Robert Ssentongo (penalty) ensured that Busiro bagged all the three points on the day to get off the mark.
Hudson Mbalire scored the only goal for Bugerere as they started the tournament on a low note.
Despite going a man less after Mudiba Sadir was sent off in the 40th minute, Busiro did just enough to pick maximum points on the day.
It is a perfect start for Busiro who finished third in the last edition and they will hoping to do better in this year’s tournament.
For Bugerere, they will have to pick maximum points in their next game against Buvuma who lost on the day as well if they are to avoid early exit in the tournament.
In the second game of the day, Kyaggwe edged Buvuma 1-0, thanks to Gerald Ogwetti’s second half Strike, who scored from the penalty at the hour mark to see his side bag all the needed points.
Action returns on Friday as Buvuma take on Bugerere in the first game at noon while Kyaggwe face Busiro in the second game of the day in the evening.
