*Tanzania U20 0-1 Uganda U20

Uganda Women U20 managed to beat their Tanzania counterparts in a friendly played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Hadijah Nandago scored the only goal of the game in a closely contested affair.

Nandago was in the right place at the right time to pounce home after Tanzania keeper Janeth Shija had spilled a freekick effort in the 17th minute.

It was a good freekick delivery from Samalie Nakachwa after Protasia Mbunda had brought down Uganda’s Sumaya Komuntale on the left flank.

The game, just like the senior men teams’, was part of events to commemorate Tanzania’s 60 years of Independence.

Uganda is using the friendly to prepare for the return leg against South Africa on December 17 in Johannesburg in the 2022 FIFA U20 Women World Cup Qualifiers.

Ayub Khalifa’s charges hold a slim 1-0 advantage over South Africa thanks to Nandago’s goal at Kitende.
