Preview: URA FC Target Express Revenge

All to play for as URA FC welcome Express FC at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje in a League game on Saturday.

URA FC will have revenge at the back of their minds when they take on Express FC, a side they failed to beat on four occasions last season.

George Ssenkaaba scored the only goal as URA lost to Express in Ndejje before the Red Eagles completed a double thanks to a 3-1 win at Wankulukuku.

In Uganda Cup, Express went on to knockout URA FC 2-1 on aggregate, with the second leg in Ndejje ending goalless.

The encounter finds URA FC blowing hot and cold; after that stunning 2-0 win away to Vipers at Kitende, the Tax Collectors have drawn their two subsequent games.

They needed a late rally to survive a Villa scare and fired blanks against bottom side Police.

And most notably, they face Express without team captain Shafic Kagimu who has been the team’s fulcrum since time memorial.

Steven Mukwala alongside Cromwell Rwothomio will carry the scoring burden, the duo have scored 11 goals between them.

Express on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last seven league games but their pattern has been Win-one-draw-next since opening the season with two losses against Arua Hill and UPDF.

They were the second best against Mbarara City but even on their not-so-good day, they managed to squeeze out a victory and that talks much about the team’s character.

Defending the title is going to be a big ask for Wasswa Bbosa’s men given the form of KCCA FC at the moment but picking a result against a good side like URA FC will keep them in contention.
