Big League: Kitara FC Takes Care of Maroons

Kitara FC managed to overcome Maroons FC in a FUFA Big League encounter at Masindi Municipal stadium.

Quick fire first half goals from Zakayo Kizito, Munihizi Oscar and Peter Lomoro Peter handed the hosts maximum points.

On-form striker Amaku Fred scored Maroons’ consolation, his seventh strike this season.

Zakayo gave the hosts the lead in the 10th minute, Munihizi doubled the advantage a minute later before Amaku halved the deficit in the 20th minute.

Lomoro restored the two-goal cushion at the half hour mark and the hosts held on for the needed win.

Maroons who beat Kyetume 3-2 in their last encounter, suffers their second loss of the season.

Coming into this game, Kitara had lost their last game 2-0 away to Luwero United and now move to 5th with 11 points after Thursday’s win.

The Prison warders remain in second with 12 points in 8 matches.

What next

Kitara FC will host MYDA at the Masindi Municipal Stadium on Sunday 19th while Maroons return to action on Thursday 23rd away to MYDA at King George memorial stadium.
