Preview: KCCA FC’s Title Credentials Face Latest Test
Table leaders KCCA FC welcome defending champions Express in a pulsating affair at Lugogo.
There is a lot to play for and many sub plots as two of the best league teams face off in a TV game.
KCCA FC are still unbeaten after 11 games but the visiting Express poses the biggest hurdle in Morley Byekwaso’s way.
They have been excellent against big teams but fail to kill off games and end up conceding late goals; at Kitende against Vipers and in Njeru recently against SC Villa.
After Vipers beat Bright Stars on Tuesday to move within a point, pressure is on KCCA FC to react.
KCCA FC’s best weapon has been the ease with which they find the back of the net, but in Express, they face a team that has the best defence per stats having conceded only seven.
The Red Eagles struggled at the start with two losses against Arua Hill and UPDF, but have since recovered though still miles from the team that won the title last defence.
Eric Kambale has regained his scoring boots but he is yet to influence games as he did last season.
And so is the supporting cast of Martin Kizza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, George Ssenkaba and Charles Musiige.
Bbosa will be contented with a point at Lugogo and their run pattern reads Win one and draw next since falling to UPDF on October.
