Salim Abdallah scored the all important goal as Sc Villa edged Busoga United 1-0 in a league game played at Njeru on Wednesday.

The exciting Midfielder scored in the 17th minute from the spot to see his side bag all the three important points on the day.

The opening exchanges saw an end to end encounter as both sides tried to get the opener.

In the 17th minute of the game, Villa were awarded a penalty after Nicholas Kabonge was brought down in the area following a counter attack.

From the resultant kick, Salim took responsibility and scored to put his side ahead.

SC Villa could have added on more goals but missed a couple. Kabonge saw his effort go wide when infront of goal before Kenneth Semakula headed wide off Kabonge’a well delivered corner.

“We are happy for today’s win. It’s not been an easy game since Busoga also has good players. We are not going to rest as we shall resume training tomorrow to prepare for the Tooro United game on Monday and we hope for more three points as well, Goal scorer Salim Abdallah Said after the game.”

Victory ensured that Villa picked their third win in the season and move to the 11th Position with 13 points after 11 games played.

For Busoga United, they suffer their eight loss in the season and drop to the red zone with 7 points after 11 games played. (W2, D1, L8).

What Next-

Villa will host Tooro United next week on Monday at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru while Busoga United will be away to Express FC the following day.
