Preview – URA seek to end Winless streak

URA FC will be seeking to end their winless streak when they host Mbarara City on Wednesday at the Arena of Visions (Ndejje University).

The Tax Collectors have drawn their last four games ever since they beat Vipeds 2-0 at Kitende on November 27th.

They drew 0-0 against Police FC at home, drew 2-2 with SC Villa, had a barren stalemate against Express before registering a 1-all draw with Onduparaka in their last league game.

Sitted in the eigth position with 14 points, URA are 13 points below current table leaders KCCA.

Surely, it has been a poor start to the Tax Collectors who were potential title contenders last season as they finished second on the log, a point below eventual winners Express in a premature season.

Back at home against Mbarara City, Sam Timbe’s men need to wake up and start picking up points if they are to get into the title bracket this season.

On the other hand, the Visitors have the same ambitions of returning to winning ways following a barren stalemate in their previous league outing against Wakiso Giants.

Level on points with the Tax Collectors, the Ankole Lions will be targeting a positive result away from home to avoid early relegation scares.

URA currently sit in the 8th position with 14 points after nine games played (W3, D5, L1).

They have drawn four of their last league games.

Mbarara City currently sit 9th with 14 points after 11 games played. ( W4, D2, L5).

They have won once in their last three league meetings ( W1, D1, L1).
