Preview: SC Villa Target Tooro United Scalp
SC Villa will be targeting a second consecutive win for the first time this season when they host league strugglers Tooro United at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Monday.
In their last league encounter, they edged Busoga United 1-0 at the same Venue, thanks to Salim Abdallah’s penalty, a win that took them to 13 points.
However, last week the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel deducted a point off the Joggos, following their fan’s misconduct during their 1-all draw with KCCA at Njeru this season.
And now back at home, they host a Tooro United side that has been on a poor run since the start of the season.
This being their last game in this year, Villa will have all eyes on maximum points to start closing up the gap with the top teams.
The Visitors on the other hand have been a shadow of themselves since their return to the top flight league.
They have lost 10 out of 12 games, picked only four points in the process and are currently rock bottom of the table.
They come off a 3-1 loss to Police FC at home in Buhinga, one that subjected them to a fifth consecutive loss in a row. This sums up how poor Edward Golola’s men have been so far in the season.
Playing away from home, Tooro United have to wake up and start picking up some positive results if they are to avoid relegation this season.
SC Villa are currently 11th on the Log with 12 points collected from 11 games.
They have picked only one win from their last league outings (W1, D3, L1)
Tooro United sit rock bottom with 4 points after 12 games played.
They have lost five of their last league games and have conceded the most goals so far (30)
