URA FC 1-1 Wakiso Giants
Express 4-0 Busoga United

Cromwel Rwothomio was on target as URA FC registered a 1-all draw with Wakiso Giants in a league game held at the arena of Visions, Ndejje on Tuesday.

The Pacy forward scored in the 65th minute, to cancel out Simon Namwanja’s goal, who had put the Visitors ahead before half time.

The opening exchanges saw a closely contested affair as both teams tried to settle into the game.

However, the Visitors started opening up, and it wasn’t a surprise when they scored first before the interval.

At the stroke of half time, Namwanja benefited from Titus Ssematimba at the left flunk, strolled past URA defenders before sending a powerful left shot past a helpless Nafian Alionzi to put his side ahead.

The visitors had another chance to score but Tom Masiko saw his effort kiss the cross bar when outside the area.

The hosts as well had chances to score before half time but missed a couple. Mukwala Steven saw his effort well collected by Derrick Emukule when infront of goal before Cromwell saw his header kiss the cross bar to go wide.

At the restart of the second stanza, URA came back a rejuvenated side in search for an equaliser and it wasn’t late when they got one.

With five minutes past the hour mark, Rwothomio headed in home off a well delivered corner from Captain Shafik Kagimu to level matters for his side.

There on, it was an end to end affair as both sides kept on Knocking in search for the winner.

The hosts, who looked more lively in the second had chances to kill off the game but missed a couple. Goal scorer Cromwel headed wide off Moses Sseruyide’s well taken free kick before his goal was ruled for offside in the closing stages.

For the Visitors, Joshua Lubwama saw his effort from a free kick parried away by goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi.

The result saw URA move to the seventh position with 18 points after eleven games played. (W4, S6, L1).

For Wakiso Giants, they remain in the sixth position with 21 points collected from 13 games so far. (W6, D3, L4).
