The U20 Uganda women’s head coach Ayub Khalifa has summoned a provisional squad of 28 players to start early preparations for the U20 women’s World Cup qualifier match against Ghana in the fourth round.

Uganda eliminated South Africa in the previous round and are to face Ghana on the 22nd January at the St Mary’s stadium in Kitende and a return leg to set for two weeks time from the first leg.

Shamira Nalugya who missed the double header of South Africa due to injury returns to the squad as defender Winnie Nakanwagi earns her first call for national duty.

The squad will enter into an early residential camp at the cranes paradise hotel in Kisasi on the 4th of January and will conduct training sessions at the Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
