KCCA FC defeated Mbarara City 1-0 to claim all the three points as they moved top of the log while maintain their unbeaten run.

Herbert Achai early goal was enough to gift the Kasasiro boys a win at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

KCCA FC dominated the game right from the start in the sunny environment at Lugogo, Achai scored with the first shot on goal in the 1st minute of the game as his shot beat Martin Elungat to see the back of the net.

Elungat will feel he should have done better to keep out a tame effort from Achai, but he made a mess of it and it found it’s way to the back of the net.

The Kasasiro boys pilled more pressure onto the visitors of Mbarara City but goalkeeper Elungat stood tall to make a couple of saves including denying Sadat Anaku in the 11th minute.

Mbarara City’s first shot on goal came in the 16th minute but Derrick Ochan saved a superb freekick from Solomon Okwalinga.

Mbarara City defence did a great job to stop KCCA FC from doubling their lead in the first stanza of the game as it ended in a 1-0 KCCA FC lead.

The second half saw the hosts make a double substitution as they introduced Kasirye and Arafat Usama replacing Brian Aheebwa and Samson Andrew Kigozi.

KCCA FC could double their lead but skipper Hillary Mukundane made a timely block to stop a shot from Ashraf Mugume in the 56th minute.

In the 60th minute Thomas Kakaire was set up by Edwok Ronald for a keeper to beat but his shot was blocked by John Revita.

Returning defender Filbert Obenchan was also handed some minutes as he replaced John Revita in the 83rd minute of the game.

KCCA FC managed to claim a 1-0 win moving to the top of the log with 31 points from 13 games two points above Vipers who drop to the second with 29points from 13games.

Mbarara City maintain their place on the log despite losing 1-0, they sit in the 12 position with 14 points from 14games.

The league will now take a short forced break as to allow the national team take part in the six international friendlies line up.
