Express will be going for all points when they Bright Stars FC in a league game at Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles have a lot of confidence to feel that they deserve a win against Bright Stars.

First they beat Tooro United on the road in their previous game to win back to back matches for the first time this season.

“Since we returned from Fort Portal, we have tried to correct a few mistakes ahead of the game against Soltilo Bright Stars on Friday,” Express coach Wasswa Bbosa stated.

“They (Bright Stars) could be struggling but I believe they’re a decent side but we want to win the game, we want to reduce the gap between us and the table leaders.

“I would generally say we had a slow start in the beginning but that was because the players were fatigued but we’ve managed to pick ourselves up hence the good run.”

Express are also unbeaten in 12 games this season and can move joint second on the table if they beat Bright Stars!

They are yet to concede a league game at Wankulukuku in their last five games. And have won their last four games at the venue.

If given a chance, Express winger Joseph Akandwanaho will be facing his former team for the first time since signing for the Wankulukuku based side.

The visitors on the other hand, are seated third from the bottom having collected just 10 points.

Bright Stars beat SC Villa 1-0 at Kavumba to snap their six game winless run.

The Stars have not won away from home this season, managing just two draws in their seven away games.

A positive result at Wankulukuku can change tides for their season but they will need a combined effort if they are to turn tables against the defending champions.

Bright Stars beat Express 2-1 last season in the league but had previously lost the first round tie by the same scoreline at Wankulukuku.

Frank Kalanda and Eric Kalanda scored for the Red Eagles while Augustine Kacancu had a consolation for Bright Stars.

The Stars have picked three draws from their eight League Visits at Wankulukuku!
