Joseph Ssemujju Latest Ugandan To Join Tanzania Premier League

BUL FC Pacy winger Joseph Ssemujju has joined Tanzania Premier league side Mbeya City FC, The SportsNation can confirm.

The attacker has joined the Tanzanian club after parting ways with Bul FC but the UPL side is yet to confirm the developments.

Ssemujju, who joined the Jinja based side in January 2020 left with six months still running on his contract.

At Mbeya City, he joins a side that is coached by a CAF A licensed Ugandan Coach Matia Lule who has been with the side for the past two seasons.

Ssemujju becomes the third Ugandan player to cross to the Tanzanian premier league in the ongoing January transfer market.

The other two players are forwards Hamis Diego Kizza who joined Kagera Sugar and Brian Muluuli Mayanja who crossed to Mtibwa Sugar last week.

After 12 games so far this season, Mbeya City are the currently sitted third with 19 points.

Ssemujju’s arrival will prove to be a big boost to the Matia Lule coached side given his pace and trickery as they target to keep up with the pace at the top.
