Swedish-based Viola Nambi in Crested Cranes Squad to Face Kenya

Coach George Lutalo has included Swedish based Viola Nambi in the Crested Cranes squad that will face Kenya in the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Nambi, 5ft 6in, can play both as a striker or a right winger and is a big addition to Uganda squad that targets to outs Kenya starlets for a place at this year’s Africa cup of Nations due August in Morocco.

She dons Shirt number 48 for Vaxjo Dff in the Swedish top tier. She is a fast, skillful and quick deciding forward who can as well deliver from the right flank.

Nambi helped St Mary’s Kitende clinch the 2012 girls national championship against perennial winners Kawempe Muslim before joining Kampala Junior Team (KJT) and later joined UCU lady Cardinals.

She later left the country in 2014 to Sweden.
