Kawawa Hat-trick Helps Arua Hill Complete Double Over Wakiso Giants

Winger Rashid Kawawa scored three past Wakiso Giants in the early kick-off of the Startimes Uganda Premier League game played at the Barifa Stadium.

The Winger registers his first ever treble in his professional career.

Alfred Leku was also on the score sheet as the Kongolo defeated the purple sharks Home and away.

Titus Ssematimba and Sam Ssenyonjo were on target for the visitors.

Wakiso Giants have now conceded nine goals in their last two league matches after a 5-0 thumping by URA.

Action at Barifa

Kawawa gave the hosts an early lead after Ssekamatte beat Goalkeeper Emukule from Alfred Leku cross in the 4th minute.

Three minutes later, Emukule gifted Leku to double the Kongolo’s lead after failing to clear a long ball from Leftback Richard Matovu.

In the 14th minute, Kawawa completed his brace after a good skill and a good run from the center beating Emukule to the near post.

Kawawa completed his hatrick after a freekick from Wahab to slot past Emukule.

Substitute Titus Ssematimba who replaced Lawrence Bukenya pulled one back for the purple sharks with a header off Aliro freekick in the 64th minute.

Sam Senyonjo fired high an header from Grant Matsiko as they attempt to reduce the deficit.

Sam Senyonjo reduced the tally for Wakiso Giants with a curler to find the back of the net in the 87th minute from Sharif Kimbowa pass.

Emukule made a brilliant save to deny Ibrahim Thembo from a freekick.

Arua Hill are 5th on the log with 32 points after 19 matches while Wakiso Giants are 7th with 27 points

They will both return to action on Wednesday 9th as Arua Hill travel away to UPDF at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground while Wakiso Giants will welcome Mbarara City at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
