Sunday, September 18
•UCU Lady Canons Vs KIU Rangers (2-0) – 2pm
•UCU Canons Vs City Oilers (0-2) – 4pm
•KIU Titans Vs Nam Blazers (1-2) – 6pm

UCU Canons are on the brink of NBL Playoffs exit ahead of their crucial game three against City Oilers due this Sunday at YMCA Court in Wandegeya.

The Canons have lost game one (64-72) and two (61-72) to trail the best of five semifinal series 2-0.

And they are facing elimination from the series if they fall on Sunday in what promises to be a pulsating affair.

Coach Nicholas Natuhereza and his charges must win on Sunday in Game three to keep their season alive.

The series is a repeat of 2019 and 2015 finals, with UCU ending at the wrong end in game seven at both occassions.

And their chance to avenge the losses looks like it will go for another season judging by the two games.

Francis Azolibe took UCU down in game two

There was growing hope from a couple of fans and media alike that UCU Canons could eliminate the seven-time champions, given a number of factors including the fact that they had beaten them in the first round.

But UCU will feel that most of their important pieces have failed to get the spark in this series.

Sudi Ulanga has scored four points (2 each) combined in the two games, Chuma scored three in game one and zero in game two while Jerry Kayanga has six combined!

Oilers have been the better team in both contests away from just the results, and have been fast starters as UCU were made to play catch-up in game one and two.

They have to be at their best against a side that has never lost a series, and it looks like a mission impossible!
