A brand new Toyota Corolla Cross 2022 model is a prize this Saturday for a lucky hole-in-one winner at the Monthly Tee of Tees at the Entebbe Golf Club.
This was confirmed on Thursday as CFAO Motors, formerly Toyota Uganda, unveiled their two-year partnership with Entebbe Golf Club.
This new marriage will notably see CFAO co-sponsor two major tournaments – The Singleton Match Play Challenge and the Monthly Tee.
“We are very excited to this unique partnership, one that we have been working on for a quiet long time with our new partners that is Entebbe Golf Club,” said Marketing Manager, CFAO Motors Uganda, Isaac Tegule.
“Actually, it’s not the first time we are working with them (Entebbe Golf) but it’s our first in this official new capacity.
“So our relationship with Golf fraternity dates way back – We have worked with the club in different capacities including the Captain Prize tournament, Kabaka’s Coronation, Kakira Open among others.”
“This goes to show you that Golf is a very key engagement that we look to invest in for a long time. It’s an opportunity to interact and foster relationship with our key clientele.
“Golf is unique in that it gives you the physical benefits or healthy benefits of networking. It’s a perfect place to interact with our clients beyond the transactional day to day business that we do with them.”
The hole-in-one winner at the 10th hole, has a chance to drive away with a Vehicle courtesy of CFAO Motors starting this weekend.
Note – a hole in one is when a ball hit from a tee to start a hole finishes in the cup.
This Saturday, a Toyota Corolla Cross, brand new zero mileage, in category of a compact SUV with 1.8 Litre car and worth 43500 US Dollars is at stake.
CFAO Motors will put up more three cars, say a Fortuner or Land Cruiser, to win in the subsequent monthly tees at the Par-71 course.
Entebbe club chairperson Eng. Jacob Byamukama briefly commented: “I want to thank CFAO for working with us to deliver this partnership, when you have a prize like a hole-in-one, it increases the excitement, it increases the value of the tournament. Gen Ivan Koreta won it (hole-in-one) somewhere yesterday so it’s possible and I guess Entebbe is a place where you would want to win it.”
Giving a brief account of Entebbe, the Club has more than 500 members, with 280 of them active golfers.
The Club has other Sports disciplines including Tennis, Cricket Oval, Several board games, Table Tennis, Darts etc.
“The Club prides it’s self on riding along three principles – being inclusive as we welcome people from all walks of life, Community as it’s about building meaningful networks and the third is about socialism (we have the best 19th hole in the country).”
Serwano Walusimbi, the Entebbe Club Captain said that the chance to win the Car is for any golfer who will take part.
