•KCCA Leopards Vs UCU Lady Canons, 7pm
•D-mark Power Vs UCU Canons, 9pm
UCU Canons will welcome back Jerry Kayanga into the squad when they take on D-Mark Power on Friday in game two of their Quarterfinals series at Lugogo.
Kayanga missed Game One on Saturday, which UCU won 58-53 at YMCA, after losing his Father.
With 10.5, he is one of the four players averaging double digits this season for the Canons alongside Jimmy Otim (12.9), Peter Sifuma (12.2) and Lwabaga Ibanda (10.4).
This will be a big boost for the Canons who need a win on Friday to seal a ticket to the Semis where they will meet winner between KIU Titans and KCCA Panthers.
UCU will fancy their chances to get the edge against a side who got a controversial 2-0 win over them in the regular season after forfeiture.
The Canons won the first round regular season game 81-50, but the result was automatically overturned when the second round game wasn’t played due to Colour clash with FUBA finding UCU guilty as the side had moved with one jersey.
Kayanga whot five threes to collect a game high 21 points in the first round against Power!
And those two results left UCU in disarray, fighting for survival in latter stages of the season and Coach Nicholas Natuhereza’s side needed to beat KCCA Panthers on last day of the season to avoid relegation!
All that will not count come on Friday for Power who need nothing but a win to save their season.
Power got just eight points from their bench in Saturday’s game one defeat and were poor from three, shooting 3-for-25 from the range!
Besides Ozias Kikomba and Elvis Mpeti, no Power player managed to score even points on the day.
