The Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) secretariat has ultimately released the final third division fixture for the 2023/24 season.
The fixture released only has matches to be played in the first round, starting on Tuesday, November 28 to end early next year on Thursday, February 29.
Games will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with exception of a few fixtures that will be played on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
One of the most highly anticipated matchups in the Bukedi group has come as early as the first matchday as rebranded Bugisu United host highly ambitious Amus FC next Tuesday at Mbale stadium in the only game of the day.
On Wednesday, action in Bukedi group will continue with Busia HomeBoyz FC, IUIU SC and Nakaloke Garage FC hosting Bungokho North FC, Mbale Garage FC and UCU FC respectively.
In Nile group, action starts on Wednesday, November 29 with a number of games. Bugadde United FC, Alidina FC and Iganga Young FC will host Bwonda Victoria FC, JMC Hippos and Busei FC respectively.
The league was initially programmed for kick off last week, but had to be delayed for a further week owing to a number of uncertainties.
According to ERFA General Secretary, Raufu Mafuko, only five clubs out of 25 had paid registration fee and submitted documents to play in the Eastern Regional League as of the earlier set deadline date.
Consequently, the deadline date for clubs to comply was pushed to Monday, November 20, and the league kick off date was postponed from Tuesday, November 21 to Tuesday, November 28.
