Onduparaka FC conceded a very late stoppage time goal, just moments after they had drawn the game level to eventually lose 2-1 to Lugazi FC in the FUFA Big League.
The Caterpillars have so far played nine games, winning all four of their fixtures that have been home. Relatively, Onduparaka have picked no single point from all their first five away games – they have lost all!
Before dropping all the three points against Lugazi, the Arua-based side had also lost away to Blacks Power, Kiyinda Boys, Kigezi HomeBoys and Jinja North,
The Friday game kicked off at Lugazi stadium under very cold temperatures, with the visitors making only one change to their previous starting lineup as Junior Andama started instead of Dominic Abonga.
The home side scored the first goal to lead the game before the 20th minute. Faizo Matovu headed-in from a corner kick in the 18th minute.
Shortly past the hour mark, Lugazi introduced Sam Ssemugugu and Paul Wasswa on for Moses Buga and Ronald Ssempala respectively, while Solomon Akodi replaced injured Derrick Ochen and Fadili Marijani came in for Freedom Mungudit.
With less than 60 seconds left before clocking 90 minutes, Onduparaka found an equaliser, scoring through coach-player Ceasar Okhuti in the 89th minute.
In the fifth minute of stoppage time, second half substitute put Lugazi ahead again. His goal was enough to help Lugazi won all the three points, as Onduparaka lost another game away from home.
The result implies that both teams maintain their respective positions on the table, though altering the points for Lugazi and goal difference for both sides.
Lugazi maintains third position on the table, level on 17 points now with second placed Blacks Power who have a goal more than the Leaders.
Onduparaka stays in seventh position with twelve points, like eighth placed Booma FC, but the Caterpillars boast of a slightly better goal difference.
