Preview: Inconsistent Villa Welcome Buoyant Busoga United

SC Villa will look to secure a win against Busoga United in their upcoming Uganda Premier League clash at Wankulukuku.

After their goalless draw against Mbarara City, the Jogoos aim to reignite their winning streak.

Their performance at Wankulukuku has been inconsistent, alternating between victories and defeats. They suffered losses to Kitara and BUL but managed wins against NEC and Arua Hill.

Despite efforts under new coach Dusan Stojanovic, SC Villa’s gameplay hasn’t fully aligned with the coach’s vision, resulting in less effective creativity on the field.

Facing a motivated Busoga United, who recently triumphed 2-1 against KCCA FC, SC Villa should anticipate a tough challenge.

Busoga United bolstered their coaching staff by adding Peter Onen, working alongside head coach Vincent Lukyamuzi.

Expectations were initially low for Busoga United due to limited activity in the transfer market, and their current position, five places above the relegation zone, defies preseason predictions.

And Busoga United are currently a point ahead of SC Villa, although thee Jogoos have a game in hand against Express on December 8.

While there’s still a significant portion of the season left, Busoga United’s ability to eke out results against tougher sides may potentially propel them out of the relegation talk.

SC Villa beat Busoga United 1-0 home and away: Frank Muna Kalule scored the all important goal in Jinja while Patrick Jonah Kakande had scored late in the earlier fixture at Wankulukuku in the first round.
