Lugazi FC have yet again made another bold statement going to visit Kataka in Mbale and left with all the three points on Sunday in the FUFA Big League.

Kataka, who hadn’t lost a game at Mbale stadium this season, having won all their previous four matches at home couldn’t hold their visitors for ninety minutes.

Kataka got a penalty in the 28th minute, but Swamad Okur’s effort didn’t pay off as Lugazi goalkeeper Fahad Emran pulled off a super save to deny the midfielder.

Four minutes after the penalty miss, Sam Ssemugugu scored to put the visitors ahead. Kataka responded immediately, with Marcus Aka scoring to draw the game back in level terms before halftime.

With only three minutes left on the clock, Ssemugugu once again beat his markers to double the visitors’ lead at Mbale stadium.

The result sends Kataka (with 14 points) to nineth position from seventh, as Onduparaka and Kiyinda Boys ascend to seventh and eighth positions respectively.

Lugazi have now moved to 21 points, maintaining their number two position on the table, with only two points below leaders Police.

Meanwhile, Blacks Power also defeated Calvary in Lira to move to 20 points, keeping them within the top three.
