NEC emerged victorious with a resounding 2-0 win against URA in a league game played under Lugogo floodlights.

Joseph Dhata and Cromwell Rwothomio scored the goals to stun the Tax Collectors.

Dhata benefited from Hudu Mulikyi’s poor control to send a powerful effort past Denis Otim.

Rashid Okocha created the second when he delivered a cross into the area for Rwothomio to tap in from close range.

The victory propelled Hussein Mbalangu’s side to their sixth triumph of the season in just 10 games.

The newcomers, NEC, continue to prove their mettle throughout the league, and this win only solidified their growing reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

However, the loss marked URA’s third defeat, and it was their second under the leadership of David Obua whose side came into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Express at Lugazi.

Despite their efforts, they couldn’t find a breakthrough against NEC’s resilient defense and potent attacking force.

What next – NEC visit BUL at Njeru on December 10 while URA will host Arua Hill at Lugazi on the same day
