The Cricket Cranes will face Kenya on Tuesday in the final of the ACA T20 Africa Cup seeking to retain the trophy they won last year.
The Cricket Cranes started the tournament disappointingly, but they were able to lead their group which ensured they avoid Kenya in the semi final. The two rivals however, will meet in the decider of who takes the trophy.
To storm the final, Uganda enjoyed a dominant display against Botswana in the semifinal, but Kenya clinched their game by 5 runs.
While Kenya toiled for their victory, Jackson Ogwang’s troops won theirs by 10 wickets. The side pummeled Botswana in both innings, letting them set just 62 all out, and chasing it inside power play..
Both Bilal Hassun and Henry Ssenyondo picked three wickets each while the chase was done by only Simon Ssesazi (34) and Roger Mukasa (26).
Captain Brian Masaba was ruthless with the ball as well. The skipper and Alpesh Ramjani each dismissed two.
Botswana will face Malawi in the third place Playoff tomorrow morning before the final that will take place in the afternoon.
