•Mbarara City 0-0 Kitara
•Arua Hill 1-3 Maroons
Mbarara City’s winger Seiri Arigumaho suffered a concussion during a goalless draw against Kitara in a league match at Kakyeka Stadium.
Arigumaho collided with Kitara goalkeeper Crispus Kusiima before being taken away in an ambulance, leading to his substitution by Isaac Amutuhaire in the 19th minute.
This incident dealt a significant setback to both the home team and the player, who had received a rare starting opportunity this season.
Despite Kitara FC dominating the initial exchanges, Mbarara City managed to hold them off.
Kitara had several close opportunities, with Dudu Ramathan missing wide, Kabon Living sending a volley over, and Jasper Aheebwa hitting the crossbar from close range.
Mbarara’s goalkeeper Nsamba Hakim made crucial saves, notably denying a header from Mucureezi off Kabon’s free-kick.
Kitara maintains their third position with 23 points, although this standing could change if NEC defeats Express on Thursday.
On the other hand, Mbarara City climbs to ninth with 13 points and continues their unbeaten streak at Kakyeka, having not lost since their opener against NEC.
