Nelson Senkatuka, the forward for Bright Stars, and Dusan Stojanovic, the coach for SC Villa, clinched the titles of Pilsner Player and Coach of the Uganda Premier League for November’s concluded matches.
During the ongoing 2023/24 season, the UPL assessed match-days 6-10.
Senkatuka outshone competitors Ronald Ssekiganda from SC Villa and Alex Kitata from BUL to secure the November accolade.
Meanwhile, SC Villa’s head coach Dusan Stojanovic claimed the award over Abbey Kikomeko from Eastern Giants, BUL FC, and Vipers’ coach Leo Neiva.
Both received a plaque and Sh1m courtesy of sponsor Pilsner.
Senkatuka emerged as the clear favorite for his outstanding performance, scoring seven goals in the period, including a hat-trick against Arua Hill in a 3-1 victory, where he also earned the player of the match award.
Notably, he found the net in all the considered games (matchday 6-10), scoring against Mbarara City, Busoga United, Gaddafi, and SC Villa.
Conversely, Stojanovic guided Villa to three wins out of five matches played in the period, accumulating 11 points out of a possible 15.
Villa secured a 2-1 victory against Express in a highly anticipated derby, as well as triumphs over Arua Hill and Busoga United. They drew away matches against Mbarara City and Bright Stars.
It’s strong to note that Coach Brian Ssenyondo from Kitara FC and BUL forward Alex Kitata claimed the Pilsner Coach and Player of the Month awards for September/October, respectively.
