Preview: NEC Seeks To Bounce Back
NEC aims to return to winning ways when they host Bright Stars under Lugogo floodlights.
The newcomers come into this following a 1-1 draw against BUL and a heavy 2-5 defeat in their last game against Express at Lugogo.
They’ve won only three out of six home games but managed to score in five.
Despite a strong start as debutants, winning four out of five opening games, they’ve shown inconsistency since. Positioned 5th on the log with 20 points, they remain within reach of title contention, trailing leaders BUL by 9 points.
A win could push them to 4th temporarily and potentially place them within the top four for the new year.
For Bright Stars, securing their first away win of the season is the aim.
With three draws in five away games, their recent visit at the same turf ended in a 0-3 loss to KCCA FC.
Positioned 9th with 14 points, a win could lift them up one spot, while a loss might drop them into the relegation zone if teams below them secure victories.
This encounter marks the first meeting between the two teams.
