Preview: Express Want To Rub More Salt In Arua Hill Wounds

Express will aim to take advantage of the ongoing uncertainties surrounding Arua Hill as they strive for maximum points in Adjumani.

Arua Hill faces significant financial challenges, highlighted by their recent match against Kitara where they fielded only eight players and suffered a staggering 7-1 defeat.

The team is currently without a coach after Livingston Mbabazi’s departure to Vipers, contributing to low morale among players due to months of unpaid wages. Joel Aita, the club owner, revealed via Twitter last week that the club has been sold, but the new owner remains undisclosed.

While some players are set to return, it remains uncertain if they will be part of the starting eleven or available on the bench.

On the contrary, Express enters the fixture with boosted confidence following their recent victory over Vipers at Wankulukuku.

That win against Vipers came on the back of the club’s huge win over NEC and new coach Alex Isabirye aims to leverage on this form as a foundation to further rejuvenate the club.

It’s strong to note that Express has lost to Arua Hill in all four league meetings, and Wednesday’s clash hands them an opportunity to break the jinx.
