Kawempe Muslim clinched a well-deserved 2-0 triumph over Kampala Queens as the FUFA Women Super League returned on Wednesday with a fixture held at Lugogo on Wednesday.

Agnes Nabukenya’s two-goal display in the first half proved decisive as the Valley Warriors silenced the defending champions in front of their home supporters.

It was not a start new Kampala Queens coach Charles Ayeikho Lukula had envisioned having replaced Sam Ssenyange Kadidi recently.

Kawempe Muslim dominated the game from start to finish, displaying a superior performance against the hosts.

Nabukenya found the net in the 21st minute, capitalizing on a goalkeeper error by Daisy Nakaziro to put her team in the lead.

Just before halftime, she doubled the advantage by tapping in a well-delivered cross from Samalie Nakacwa.

Nabukenya had an opportunity for a hat-trick before halftime but was denied by the goalkeeper.

The defeat marked a challenging debut for Kampala Queens’ new head coach Ayiekho, highlighting the need for improvement in their attacking prowess if they aim to defend their title this season.
