Kampala Queens Unveil Anita Namata

FUFA Women Super League side Kampala Queens has officially signed former She Corporate midfielder Anita Namata.

Namata joins the Queens of Soccer on a one-year contract from Football Kenya Women’s Premier League (FKFWPL), side Vihiga Queens and she was officially unveiled on Wednesday evening.

Namata becomes the first signing for Kampala Queens in the ongoing January transfer market.

At KQ, she will be re-uniting with former coach Charles Ayiekoh Mbuzi who is now the head coach at the club. The two had previously worked together during their days at She Corporate.

Namata has been at Kenyan Champions Vihiga Queens a side she had joined back then at the start of the 2022/23 season.

Here in Uganda, Namata has also featured for Kawempe Muslim, Uganda Martyrs and She Corporate.

Kampala Queens have already lost three players including Margret Kunihira, Grace Aluka (both joined Ceasiaa Queens) while Fazila ikwaput went for greener pastures in India.

Currently, the defending Champions are in the second position, one point below leaders Kawempe Muslim and Namata’s addition is aimed at strengthening their squad as they target defending their crown.
