Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club will fancy their chances of collecting maximum points as they host Makerere University WFC in a rescheduled FUFA Women Super League match on Wednesday evening.

Under the guidance of Coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi, Kawempe has secured consecutive wins since the return of the league last week.

They first claimed a 2-0 victory over defending champions Kampala Queens and followed it with a commanding 5-0 triumph against Wakiso Hills last Saturday.

These back-to-back victories propelled them to the top of the table with 13 points from just five games played, level on points with Kampala Queens.

Their upcoming clash against Makerere University on Wednesday presents a crucial opportunity for them to open their lead atop by three points.

Agnes Nabukenya and Yudaya Nakayenze, who each scored two goals in their previous game against Wakiso Hills, are expected to shine as Kawempe hosts a Makerere University side looking to recover from recent setbacks.

Meanwhile, the Visitors will be aiming to return to winning form after suffering a 3-0 defeat in their last away game against She Maroons.

That loss, their first of the season, pushed them down to sixth place in the table, having garnered only six points and managing just one win so far.

Their encounter with Kawempe poses a significant challenge, and they’ll need to deliver their best performance to secure a positive result away from home.
